Bridges of the West Highland; at Craigendoran a short distance to the north of the upper station, the railway had to cross the A814 road. This resulted in the green bridge on the right of the photo. During the second half of the 20th Century the A814 was redirected resulting in the need for a new bridge, the grey one. The old road was blocked off at this point, a short distance from where the A814 crosses the line to Helensburgh Central. Photographed on 02 July 2021. [This road, Monaebrook Place, was itself was a deviation of the original course of the road which was moved north when the Helensburgh Railway originally opened in 1858. A portion of this now Station Road alongside where the Craigendoran Deviation was opened in 1882.]
