Paisley Canal
View east from the stairway linking Causeyside St and Paisley Canal station in 2012. The DMU will depart shortly on its 18 minute journey to Glasgow Central. Work was taking place at the time in connection with the electrification of the branch. (The section. between Shields Jct and Corkerhill Depot - around one third of the branch - had been electrified in 1984 to enable EMU access to the depot.) Electric passenger services between Glasgow Central and Paisley Canal commenced some seven weeks later.
