Levenshulme
Close up of the power pack of Driving Trailer 77449 of Flex unit 769456, at Levenshulme on 9th August 2021. As a 319 EMU there would have been very little underframe equipment on this vehicle but now both DTs carry a MAN engine. The bogies are still unpowered though and the engines generate power that is transmitted to the traction motors on the motor coach through the cables that once carried power drawn from the third rail.
