Loanhead
Following closure of the Loanhead branch (latterly serving Bilston Glen Colliery) in 1989 the trackbed between Loanhead and Roslin became a popular walkway (see image 2331). In early 2011 work began on extending the surfaced route north from the former Loanhead station as part of what has now become The Rosslyn Chapel Way. The photograph shows work on the extension getting underway in March of that year. (See image 78058).
