A 'National Express East Coast' HST on its way from Aberdeen to Kings Cross passing the abandoned Portobello Freightliner Terminal in December 2007. The new franchise was in its first month of operation after taking over ECML services from 'GNER' (thus the temporary 'white stripe' livery). The franchise proved problematic and lasted less than 2 years, with publicly owned 'East Coast' eventually taking charge of affairs in November 2009.
