For a popular riverside tourist city boasting a beautiful Cathedral, that will celebrate its 1000th anniversary in 2084 (though I shan't be too bothered about that), Worcester Shrub Hill station is very down-at-heel, as seen in this exterior view at lunchtime on Saturday, 5th March 2022, soon after the arrival of The Railway Touring Company's Flying Scotsman excursion from London Paddington. Shrub Hill station is also well away from the city centre whereas the smaller Foregate Street station on the Hereford line is much more centrally situated.
