With the crowd jostling each other to take a photo or two (or even more), Flying Scotsman has returned from the siding and come to a stop at platform 1 at Worcester Shrub Hill, in readiness for the 16.36 return departure to Paddington (via Cheltenham Spa, Stroud, Kemble and Swindon, rejoining the outward route via Oxford and Evesham at Didcot Parkway), on Saturday, 5th March 2022. Except the locomotive developed a fault at Slough and those left on board had to alight and wait in the cold for a GW service train back to Paddington that ruined, alas, any chance of getting some photos of the FS in Paddington station after dark.
