Leeds City station, looking south-west on the afternoon of Saturday, 12th February 2022. Originally opened in 1834, it was rebuilt in 1967 (which saw the closure of Leeds Central station) and further improvements were made in 2002. I arrived here courtesy of a UK Railtours' excursion from London Euston via Manchester Piccadilly, the Ordsall Chord, Rochdale and Todmorden, and it was a very wet afternoon in this West Yorkshire city, so wet that I only went about 250 yards from the station entrance before diving into the nearest pub.
