It is over 40 years since the MG car factory at Abingdon closed. This railway branch line - seen approaching Crabtree Place near the station site, which is now a Waitrose supermarket and car park - carried thousands of cars out for export. Now it is a peaceful footpath and cyclepath, for those who prefer its old fashioned charm to the springy tarmac path to the left in this view.
