Haggerston
378144, on a southbound London Overground service, arriving at Haggerston on the evening of 19th July 2013. The incline up from Dalston Junction is more pronounced in this view. I can remember as a boy rattling up and down that on the old ramshackle 501 units when this was part of the Broad Street to Richmond line, once threatened by Beeching but reprieved although Broad Street itself closed in 1986. The original Haggerston station of 1867, closed in 1940 after heavy war damage, was just to the south and one of its platforms is still in evidence.
