Sundsvalls Centralstation

The exterior of the rather church-like main waiting hall is described as having influences of Jugend (Art Noveau) and Swedish National-Romantic. The level crossing allowing access to the platforms across several tracks seems to have been fairly typical of Swedish station design until recent decades. The modern concept is to direct passengers through subways; only the stations with the largest flows have moving staircases and lifts.
