A slightly grainy image of Puffer 'S S Starlight' at Custom House Quay, Glasgow in March 1956. Her mast is lowered in order to get under the Glasgow Central railway bridge and the pedestrian bridge, this shot being taken from the latter. Puffers frequently used the Custom House Quay bringing sand for Glasgow Corporation's Transport Department and loading coal potentially for Cowal, Bute or the towns of the lower Firth of Clyde.
