Muswell Hill
View south from Muswell Hill bridge towards Muswell Hill viaduct along the former GNR Alexandra Palace branch, closed in 1954 after almost becoming part of the London Underground Northern Line and on which over £1 million was spent before 1939. Muswell Hill station was in the cutting on the north side of this bridge, behind the camera, and a school now stands on the site. The line and viaduct towards Cranley Gardens, where a block of flats stands on the station site, are now part of the Parkland Walk footpath but nobody was walking in a winter wonderland on the snowy and bitterly cold afternoon of Wednesday, 14th December 2022.
