Todmorden Lock 19 [RC]
Going west on the Rochdale Canal towpath from the Guillotine Lock in Todmorden town centre you almost immediately reach this immense brick retaining wall, which continues almost to the Dobroyd Bridge. Perhaps the local residents are used to it but seen for the first time on 19th October 2022 it was quite breath taking. I would estimate it to be around 300 yards long, but didn't count the bricks to gauge the height.
