Middlemuir Junction
Middlemuir Junction looking north towards Kirkintilloch in 1987. The connection to the older Monkland and Kirkintilloch Railway line came in from the left. A signal box sat above the junction at the top of the cutting. After final closure in 1966 the trackbed became a popular footpath between Lenzie and Kirkintilloch. This location has been obliterated by the construction of the A806 in 2008-2010.
