Arpley Junction
Looking from the Arpley Bridge over the Mersey, towards Arpley Junction, in February 2023. The land in the foreground was once occupied by Warrington Arpley station, which closed in 1958 and has been cleared away. The signals control the line to Ditton Junction straight on, or a left turn towards Arpley Yard. Traffic through here has greatly reduced since Fiddlers Ferry power station closed in 2020.
