Preston Brook
The TransPennine franchise is to return to public ownership on 28th May 2023 through the Operator of Last Resort system. The day before the announcement 802206 was off the usual TPE routes making an ecs run from Newcastle to Crewe and back via the Tyne Valley and WCML. Here the unit is passing Preston Brook, between Warrington and Weaver Junction, on the outward journey.
