Edinburgh Trams no. 258 from Newhaven to Airport just departed from the new Picardy Place stop, on the First Day of the Newhaven extension, Wednesday, 7th June 2023. The tram is about to pass through where the single platform of the original 2014 terminus at York Place once stood which has been demolished to accommodate a new running line towards Airport. The track that served the platform has become the new running line towards Newhaven with Picardy Place replacing York Place, although this closed in February 2022 ahead of the Newhaven opening to allow construction work to proceed.
