Valdaora
Early morning mist is lifting from the South Tyrolean hills after overnight rain, but the cloud effects are being added to by an Italian Class 741 2-8-0 climbing through the Pusteria valley with the 07.28 service from Fortezza to San Candido. The houses in the foreground are those of lower part of the village of Valdaora. The photograph dates from 1974.
