Yeovil Pen Mill
Yeovil Pen Mill signal box, looking north from station towards Castle Cary during a reversing stop for the Railway Touring Company's 'The End of Southern Steam excursion', on Sunday, 9th July 2023. 47 802, that travelled at the rear of the train from London Victoria to Yeovil Junction, took the train down to Pen Mill and then ran round to continue to Weymouth with ex-Southern Railway Merchant Navy class 'British India Line' then running light to Weymouth before hauling the train back to London Waterloo in the evening. (Apologies for slight tilt of the camera, this is not Yeovil's answer to the Leaning Tower of Pisa!)
