South Esk Viaduct [Tannadice]

The South Esk Viaduct near Tannadice was the largest structure on the Forfar and Brechin Railway. This view looks south over its remains. It was a single track bridge. The line closed to passengers in 1952 and this part closed in 1964 with Careston to Justinhaugh (excluded) closing completely. (East of Careston had closed in 1958.)
