Split
Split has a railway terminus by the ferries and bus station providing excellent connections. The building is heavily graffitied but the booking hall is staffed and in good condition internally. The railway never reached Dubrovnik. [Additional note from AA: Dubrovnik was once served by a 760mm narrow gauge line. It closed about 50 years ago, but traces of the old line can still be seen.]
