Heysham Port
With the introduction of the new 'Manxman' imminent, the IOMSP 'Ben-my-Chree' is now in its last days of front line service, here approaching Heysham with the daytime crossing on 16th August 2023. Prominent in the background are BAe Systems buildings at Barrow-in-Furness. The strip of water in the middle of the picture is the River Lune, with the (tidal) village of Sunderland Point occupying the land between there and Morecambe Bay. Update: The new Manxman entered passenger service the following morning
