Warrington Bank Quay
Against the well-known backdrop of Crosfield's detergent works, an Avanti Pendolino arrives with a service from Lancaster to London Euston on 12 August 2023. Less well known is that Crosfield's once burned surplus mines gas, piped from Parkside Colliery some 4 miles to the north. Both Parkside Colliery and Crosfield's works are now closed.
