Woodacre Crossing
57009, one of four of this class acquired by West Coast Railways from DRS, has recently been repainted in two tone green livery. This makes an interesting change from the overall maroon usually applied to the WCR fleet. The former D1664/47079 was one of the Western Region's named Brush Type 4s, 'George Jackson Churchward'. It is seen passing Woodacre taking two MkIs, one heavily graffitied, from Carnforth to Tyseley on 27th September 2023. From Tyseley the loco was scheduled to run to the Midland Railway Centre at Butterley before returning to Carnforth that evening.
