Diary notes from my 1962 outing to Newcastle with the school railway club record that almost 30 ex-LNER Pacifics were in evidence in the Newcastle area. I do not know why A3 60061 'Pretty Polly' was the only one photographed, but I suppose pocket money did not allow much expenditure on camera film. Probably I thought that this King's Cross A3, in typically superb 'Top Shed' condition, was the star of the show.
