Sunderland
Ex-NER Q6 0-8-0 63456 at Sunderland in 1962. On unearthing this photograph, taken on a school railway club summer outing, I was entertained to spot our kind and very long-suffering maths teacher Mr MacNab waiting patiently in the right background. I think he really had next to no interest in railways, but had obviously drawn the short straw when school club supervision duties were being allocated.
