Scorton [Lancashire] [1st]
Running twenty minutes early (or I would have been closer to the line) 37611, in a new Rail Operations Group livery, takes Northern 331104 from Broughton Sidings at Skipton to Allerton Depot. I thought this move was for maintenance or repairs but Alan Dunn advises there are some swaps of 3 and 4 car sets between Allerton and Neville Hill ahead of the withdrawal of the Class 319 EMUs. Sure enough, 37611 worked back the following day with 331002. They are routed via the Bentham line, WCML to Wigan and then a reversal at Edge Hill or vice versa.
