Brookwood
Brookwood, Surrey, down platform, where sadly the waiting room is obsolete and boarded-up, on 9th July 2023. The line here was opened by the London & Southampton Railway in 1838 but this station only opened on 1st June 1864 and was reconstructed in 1903 when the line was quadrupled between Woking and Pirbright Junction where the Alton line diverges. A branch line from here once ran south into Brookwood cemetery and another north to the National Rifle Association's HQ at Bisley Camp; both are now long closed.
