Ingliston Park and Ride [Tram]
Continuing delays and cost overruns on the Edinburgh tTams project, coupled with increasing use of the word 'fiasco' in the press, prompted Edinburgh Council to arrange a 'good news' media bash at Ingliston on 8 March 2012. The event was to celebrate fprmal handover of the first completed part of the route (the section between the airport and Gogar Tram Depot). Unfortunately it turned out to be an unusually cold morning, with very poor light and heavy rain throughout. Activities were confined to the inside of the tram, with a few brave hacks seen here struggling to keep their equipment dry while venturing out to obtain some external shots
