Newhailes Junction
The remains of Newhailes station photographed in April 1968.
This was an early closure by BR with passenger services ceasing as from 06/02/1950 and beyond the bridge can be seen Newhailes Junction signal box which lasted until closure of the Musselburgh branch in 1971. The track of this line can be seen swinging ofF to the left and worthy of note is the speed restriction board affixed to the bridge.
