Millport Pier
The puffer 'Saxon' in the harbour at Millport in 1964. She had an interesting history. Launched originally as the 'Dane' in 1903, she sank off Greenock in 1925. Bought as she was by Millport's Kerr family, she was raised and refurbished and, from 1926, gave forty further years of loyal service, bringing coal and other cargo to the island.
