Bathgate Upper

The remains of Bathgate Upper in April 1981 looking east. Passenger services ceased in 1956 although the building remained in railway use until at least the late 1970s. The station building and goods shed were burned down in 1980. When the shot was taken Bathgate was still busy with freight traffic and in the background 40063 can be seen assembling the 17.10 to Bescot.
