Statfold Barn

To start the summer season, a trip to the Statfold Barn Railway was called for to view and admire their spring festival. To those who have been before, there has been a significant investment in the infrastructure. New buildings, restaurant, cafe and car parks. Highly recommended. This is a K1 Beyer-Garratt 0-4-0 + 0-4-0 articulated locomotive. The first ever Garratt to be built during 1909, for service in Tasmania. It eventually returned to the UK in the 1980s, now in full working order.
