Talbot Square [Tram]
Two splendid public seats have been installed where Talbot Road meets Blackpool Promenade by the North Pier, the site of the reinstated tramway junction and alongside the new Talbot Square tram stop. One seat appears to be a Brush Railcar and the other is a fine model of one of the OMO (One man operated) cars. These were rebuilds produced in the early 1970s which reduced operating costs, particularly on winter services, and operated until replaced by Centenary cars from 1984 onwards. Photographed on 1st May 2024, just before some holidaymakers sat down.
