New Mills Central
Due to emergency embankment repairs from April 2024 onwards there are no trains between Chinley and New Mills. Through trains to Sheffield are running via Stockport to New Mills South Junction and a shuttle service from Manchester to New Mills runs into Platform 2 there and then goes back wrong line as far as Marple. A bus replacement links Chinley and New Mills. On a wet 22nd May 2024 two Sprinters wait to form the 15.29 service to Piccadilly via Reddish North.
