156425 has just left Blackpool South heading for Preston on 1st May 2024. A signal on the end of the platform can be seen above the train. The unit is already passing through the site of Blackpool Lytham Road station, which closed in 1916 when Blackpool South (then Blackpool Waterloo Road) was rebuilt with new Lytham line platforms. Behind the trees on the left of the line is a small public car park, on the site of the Lytham Road station forecourt. A bit of vegetation clearance would not go amiss around here.
