Edinburgh Waverley
Entrance to Waverley station from Calton Road in July 2006. At one time a choice existed at the top of the steps between either a right turn onto the footbridge leading into the station itself, or straight ahead for the elevated walkway across to Jeffrey Street, the supporting stone pier of which can still be seen here with the covered framework above. The gated compound was once used by the Royal Mail. See image 44229
