Woody Bay

Replica 2-4-2T No. 762 'Lyn' departs from Woody Bay for Killington Lane. Not so much of a preserved railway, more like a resurrected railway! Opened 1898, closed 1935. The station building is original, the loco is a replica, the coach bodies were put to various uses over the years but were probably not well kept, their underframes were scrapped. Revival began in the late 1970s.
