East Midlands 170102 has just left Stamford and passes the western entrance to the tunnel under the town with a Birmingham to Cambridge service on 11th July 2024. The Church Lane bridge from which this image was taken has a very high parapet but, with a pull out viewfinder, this shot was just possible. See image 86058 for the eastern portal of this 340 yards long tunnel.
