Canklow Shed
Canklow shed was situated a couple of miles south of Rotherham Masborough on what is known as 'The Old Road' and was opened by the Midland Railway in 1900. Coded 41D by BR in 1958, it was closed in 1965 although the shed yard supposedly still used as a stabling point until 1967. The shed was a roundhouse which, by the time I visited in 1967, had been well trashed and I understand housing now occupies the site.
