Alston
An afternoon working to Haltwhistle awaits departure from Alston in February or March of 1976.
Passenger services came to an end later that year on May 3rd, with freight traffic having finished quite some time earlier on 6th September 1965, although the section between Alston and Slaggyford is now operated as a narrow gauge line by the South Tynedale Raailway.
