Bay Horse

Peak 45118 banking the second leg of the 'North West Wanderer' passing Bay Horse on 10th August 2024. This was a Preston - Hellifield - Preston circular, which should have been solo hauled by D213. However 50050, which had been used on the first leg T&T with 45118, had failed and so this trip ran with all three locos still on the train. Just prior to this photograph there had been a scheduled stop in Oubeck Loops and 45118 was gently pushing the Class 40 as it accelerated away with the extra 100 tons of '50' dead in train.
