Many photos of 56E Sowerby Bridge shed were taken from above the eastern portal of the tunnel (now impossible due to tree growth) and the coaling stage and water tank was a prominent feature. The shed site is now a road hauliers yard but the coaling stage has survived, now with tank removed and a roof installed. This was the scene on 24th June 2024, during a study day visit by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Society to this private site.
