Gills Bay Ferry Terminal
The MV 'Pentalina' backs into Gills Bay, Caithness, with a crossing from St Margaret's Hope, Orkney in June 2019. The Highland Railway proposed in the late 19th century, and again after WW1, to extend the line from Thurso to Gills Bay but government support was not forthcoming.
