Clyde paddle steamer 'Caledonia' during winter overhaul at Lamont's Castle Yard, Port Glasgow, in the 1960s. Steaming by, though one imagines not actually engaged in a race, are two celebrated members of the Glasgow Sludge Fleet, the 'Shieldhall' (now preserved and sailing from Southampton) and the 'Dalmarnock'.
