Heswall
Flooding around the Welsh Borders. 230008 departs Heswall with the 1320hrs TfW service from Bidston to Wrexham on 16th October 2024. This was a day of unrelenting rain and this train was halted at Hawarden Bridge for over four hours. Its northbound counterpart was halted at Penyfford and I had to get a bus to Spital to rejoin the rail network. The rest of the days Borderlands Line services, usually a 45 minute frequency, were cancelled.
