Craigendoran Junction

66010 joins the Helensburgh line from the West Highland, on the return leg of a trip from Mossend to Crianlarich on 29th October. The yellow ramps in the West Highland Loop draw attention to the 'Approach Lit' signalling system in the bi-directional loop. The aspects of the signals controlling movements out of the loop in either direction are not illuminated until a train is signalled into the loop or is occupying it. This is to avoid confusion for drivers approaching from both directions who would be running under clear signals when passing the loop. The blank colour light signal can be seen to the left of the light-coloured stanchion.
