Canterbury West

Armistice Day excursion from London Victoria, by the Railway Touring Company, behind Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 no. 44871 (1945) and with 47812 at the rear, at its destination at Canterbury West (where a two hours lunchtime break in the Kent city ensued), at 11.47 on Monday, 11th November 2024. Because of the level crossing at the south end of this station, the train had to move beyond the platform in the down direction, making it impossible, alas, to photo the locomotive 'full-on'.
