Knightsbridge
View from top of escalator towards the Brompton Road exit at Knightsbridge station, LU Piccadilly Line, during a brief break in the passenger flow, at 13.35 on Monday, 4th November 2024. This station was opened in 1906 but this additional escalator, subway and entrance/exit at the western end was not added until 1934 by the LPTB. It was regarded as sufficiently close to Brompton Road station, between here and South Kensington, to allow that station's closure in the same year.
